Here is one of my favorite yoga movements to give my lower back and spine the love it needs!


In this day and age we spend a lot of time sitting around. Sitting in the car, at a desk, in front of the TV, even while we eat. Most people also have very bad posture, sorry just stating the truth. We stay hunched over staring at a computer and we all start looking like the hunchback from Notre Dame.

In the end our spine is the one that ends up paying the price. One of my favorite ways to give my spine some love is massaging the lower back. It’s pretty tough to rub your back yourself. Lucky for us Yoga comes to the rescue!
Knee to Chest Yoga Pose
Apanasana, Knee to Chest yoga pose, is one of my favorite poses for this. Once you pull your knees into the chest, roll on your spine in a slow and gentle circle to loosen up that lower back. It’s a great movement to do as soon as you wake up. (#morningyoga #sunriseyoga #getupandgo) I especially love doing this as soon as I get out of the car after being on the road for extended periods of time. So give your #lowerback and #spine some love today and roll out those tight muscles!
