Self Love Meditation

Valentine's day is coming. This is so far my favorite meditation on love!

Self Love is a hot topic these days. Taking myself out on dates was one of the first steps I took teaching myself to love me. It is a great expression of self love and confidence when you take yourself out on a date!
During my yoga teacher training, my teacher lead us through a #lovemeditation. She told us to think of the person or people we love the most. Then she listed immediate family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, people who specifically needed healing and love. Each time we did this she told us to send our love from our core from the room to all those people. Then lastly to send that love to every corner of the earth to all people.
Lots of Love to share

“Then something even more amazing happened. She told us to bring all that love back into the room and into our own heart...”

I was so full of love! I didn't realize how much love I actually was capable of holding in my heart and even more so sharing and sending to others. Then something even more amazing happened. She told us to bring all that love back into the room and into our own heart and feel all that love. All that love is the amount and more we should love ourselves each and every day.
Love Yourself First

It almost brought a tear to my eye. I never realized until then how much love I was giving others but not returning to my own self. It seems easier to love others before loving yourself. That's why I love this meditation and think on it often.

In the video I place my left hand (my receiving hand) on my heart to receive love, My non-dominate hand on my lower abdomen (rooting centers) to give love to myself. This creates a beautiful little circle of #giving and #receiving love to and from myself. (Your dominate hand is your giving hand, the one you hand things with; while your non-dominate hand is your receiving hand.) And always remember to give yourself a big, loving hug!
